- Viv: Viv provides an artificial intelligence that can interface with everything. In other words, it is a service that aims to compete with programs like Siri and Cortana but plug into any platform. The AI learns and adapts user preferences over time. InformationWeek reports that Viv was three years old as of January 2016. It’s backed by $30 million in funding.
- Mention: This startup helps you monitor and join the conversations people are having about your brand already. You can get alerts for mentions containing the keywords you specify. It connects to the social media app Buffer so that you can access social media outlets to communicate in real-time to both negative and positive comments. InformationWeek reports that Mention is three years old and has 350,000 active users. It received $800,000 in seed funding in 2013.
- Looker: This new app bridges the gap between big data analysts and the rest of the world. The self-service platform is designed to make data easier to understand. Plus, when it transforms raw data in a way to make it understood, it makes it easier to ask questions, conduct research and interact with the data scientists. InformationWeek reports that Looker was founded in February 2012 and just received $48 million in Series C funding in January 2016.
- Red Canary: This is a clever app that makes cybersecurity not just easy for any organisation, but affordable too. Now any company can afford to have the expertise to protect their own data and that of their customers’. Red Canary was founded in 2014 and received $2.5 million of seed funding in March 2015 according to InformationWeek.
- goTenna: This startup is centred around a device that is a small digital radio with an antenna that wirelessly pairs with an iOS or Android device via Bluetooth. This allows remote employees to stay connected even in remote areas with little or no connectivity. The startup was founded in 2012 and received $7.5 million in Series A funding in March 2016.
