We are very honoured that our mugs printed with full-colour reproductions of Miriam’s chalk pastel pictures will be featured for sale with proceeds going to the MHMT and benefitting the Miriam Hyman Children’s Eye Care Centre.
The MHMT has acknowledged Go Promotional’s generous donation of 72 mugs with a full-colour reproduction of one of Miriam’s chalk pastel pictures.
Miriam was one of the 52 victims of the London bombings 7/7 2005. This is just one of the many ways her spirit and her memory live on through her artwork. Mim was a talented artist and she had plans to start a hand-made greetings card company called “Mimento”, based on her nickname. Through her art Mim is still able to give pleasure to people as she always loved to do.
In 2006 over thirty of her framed original pictures were exhibited in London’s City Hall, accompanied by a book of over one hundred reproductions, both entitled “Mimento: Paintings and Pastels by Miriam Hyman”. The exhibition was shown again in Oxford Town Hall in 2008 and will been shown for the third time this November / December at Alyth Synagogue.
The MHMT will be selling these vibrant, attractive mugs with a wrap-around reproduction of one of Mim’s chalk pastel abstracts. Each mug features her signature and the MHMT logo on the inside rim. The mugs cost £8.00 each or two for £15.00 + £3.00 postage in the UK. They will be accepting orders world-wide and via email.
All profits from these special and exclusive limited edition mugs will go to the MHMT (Miriam Hyman Memorial Trust). The trust directly benefits the Miriam Hyman Children’s Eye Care Centre, which provides eye care services for children regardless of families’ ability to pay. As of July 2013 and since it’s inauguration in 2008, there have been 50,100 Outpatients appointments (25% without charge) and 4,900 surgeries (50% without charge).
We are honoured to be a part of this process and to have our promotional mugs features as part of such a worthy cause.
