The top searched topic in the UK and across the world was the Paris attacks. A total of 897 million + searches on the topic have been performed since the fateful day in November when terrorists attacked innocent victims in the worst violence on French soil since WWII. Adele’s return album has inspired a whopping 400+M searches in the UK. Her new album ‘25’ and all the associated fanfare has made her rise to the fastest trending musician on search. In only a few days, her debut song’s video, “Hello” became the most viewed video of the entire year. It currently has over 640 m+ global views.
In September, Queen Elizabeth became a top trending topic with over 400+ M searches as the Queen Mum reached a milestone as the longest-reigning British monarch and longest-serving Queen in the history of The Crown. Her reign began on June 2, 1953 and the milestone date occurred on September 9, 2015.
