There are many trade shows and trade organisations that require that each attendee meet with each vendor. Although this is sometimes looked down upon, this can really be a great benefit for both vendors and attendees. Both vendors and attendees of trade shows will really see how they can make the most out of a mandatory meeting trade show. Most of the mandatory meetings are just 10 minute meetings so that each buyer can see what each supplier has to offer. It is set up almost like speed dating is where a bell rings at a set interval and the attendees all move on to the next booth.
Vendor Benefits
Vendors may sign up to the trade show since they know they are guaranteed to meet all of the prospects, so the trade show benefits as well. During the meetings, the vendors, or sellers, have their chance to present the attendees, or buyers, with their best offers, deals, and have a chance to see their product line. Vendors are free to collect the information about each attendee so that they may market to them even if they do not end up buying from them at this trade show.
Attendee Benefits
Attendees are assured seeing all the vendors and might learn of new vendors or new products they might have missed had they not seen that vendors. It gives them a chance to compare each vendor and choose the best deal for them. Each buyer then has a chance to go back to see the vendor at their leisure during the trade show to see the entire line for sale and place orders. In many cases, attendees would not otherwise have a chance to see each trade show booth and meet each vendor.
